Do I need to know someone in the fraternity to rush?
No. Most of our members rushed without knowing anyone beforehand. Rush is designed for meeting people and getting connected.
Is there any commitment just to attend rush events?
Do I need to be Jewish to rush AEPi?
No. While AEPi is a Jewish fraternity, we welcome students of all backgrounds who are interested in our values and community.
Can I rush if I’m a freshman, transfer, or upperclassman?
Yes, all UCSB and SBCC students are welcome to rush, regardless of year.
Does rushing cost money?
No. There is no cost to attend rush events.
What happens after rush?
If there’s mutual interest, some students may be invited to continue the process and learn more about becoming a member. Everything is transparent and communicated clearly.
